As a world sales company, Film Harbour distributes creative documentaries from around the globe for which we see a potential on the international market.
The films in our catalog are very diverse in style and content, but they all have one thing in common: we are convinced of their high artistic quality and their strong relevance, and we want to introduce these outstanding documentaries to a wide international audience.
Team
Liselot Verbrugge CEO
Liselot has a degree in film production from the Dutch Film Academy. She has more than 15 years experience in the audiovisual sector, first working for a few years in production before moving to film festivals. Amongst other postings, she was a festival and market producer at the IDFA Forum and Cinekid for professionals, two of Amsterdam’s most preeminent cultural events. In 2013 she began working in documentary sales, working for several companies. After five years with Deckert Distribution, Liselot launched Film Harbour in 2024. Parallel to this she offers bespoke consulting and tutoring services for a variety of organizations. Liselot is based in Amsterdam and she speaks Dutch and English.
Hanne Biermann Festivals and Acquisitions
Hanne started as an apprentice at the renowned German publishing house Suhrkamp and graduated from Bauhaus University Weimar with a degree in media studies. She continued her career towards film, working for the DOK Leipzig festival and in art house cinema. In March 2019 she joined Deckert Distribution as festival manager. Since then she is a regular guest at film festivals and markets around the World, including being an alumni of the Locarno-Thessaloniki Industry Academy and Berlinale Talents. In 2024 Hanne started as Festivals & Marketing Manager at Film Harbour. Hanne is based in Leipzig and she speaks German and English.
Francesca Gaia Cisotto Materials and Marketing
Francesca started studying cinema at University and has a degree in video post production from the APM School based in Saluzzo, Italy. She started as an apprentice in 2020 at Indyca, an Italian production company, and she’s now working as a post-production coordinator, post-production assistant and video editor assistant. In 2021 she started working occasionally as first assistant camera for award-winning films and for advertising sets. Francesca is based in Torino and she speaks Italian and English.
Mieke Hupkes Finance and Accounting
Mieke is based in the Netherlands.
